Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce Doreen Green, a.k.a Squirrel Girl. She’s a human mutant with powers that give her superhuman reflexes and jumping ability; clawed fingers and retractable knuckle spikes; a giant friggin’ bushy tail and, of course, the ability to freely communicate with squirrels.
Marvel writers have also decided to give her the powers to defeat such crazy-strong supervillains such as Dr. Doom and Thanos, and she’s bested Deadpool as well. Squirrel Girl exists to eat nuts, talk to cute animals, save the Universe and most importantly, troll fanboys.
I could go on and on about this marvellous heroine… but I’ll save my squirrelly chatter for now. Just take a look at these pictures, though, and tell me she’s not automatically YOUR favourite Marvel superhero now, too.
